What do I do if I can't connect my gaming accounts?

Since the completion of quests depends on your playtime, it's important to get your gaming accounts connected! If you need help with the account connection process itself, please check out our article here. For assistance with errors received when trying to link your account, please keep reading!

If you're unable to link your Steam account, please double-check that your Privacy Settings have been set to "Public" so that your playtime can be integrated into the Tiv app. Not having these settings on "Public" will interrupt the account connection and prompt you with an error. Here's how you can access your Privacy Settings!

  1. In the Steam client, click on your username next to the "Community" tab at the top to go to your Profile.

  2. Click the "Edit Profile" button.

3. Click "Privacy Settings" from the menu on the left.

Now, this is where you can manage and update your Privacy Settings! You'll need to match the settings exactly as they are shown in the screenshot in order for your Steam account to be linked.

If all of your settings are Public, but you're still receiving errors, please check that Family View has been disabled within Steam.

Once your settings have been updated accordingly, you should be able to resume the account connection process! However, if you continue to receive errors, please be sure to reach out to [email protected] for further assistance.
